As a newby to the BGE Egghead group I enjoy this book. Not just the recipes but the information and facts in the front is pretty valuable. It explains how to cook with direct heat or indirect, offers you lots of suggestions. I went and purchased a plate setter and cooked my initially pork loin working with the indirect method and followed their suggestions. It came out so juicy and cooked to perfection. I am now going to advance to mixing rubs :) The nearby BGE dealers sell the very same book for $50 so I loved obtaining it for such a good price tag on Amazon.

Getting a very first time BGE user, I thought this was the book to have, but it had quite a couple of froo-froo recipes that I would never ever make. It is got great pictures and a handful of fantastic recipes. I've had my egg for a month now and have located that recipes on line are really good for newbies, and then it is just trial and error, and writing down every thing, which includes times, temps, weather situations, what rub was employed, how long it marinated, etc. So far I have created pulled pork and brisket and each turned out incredible. I would advise the Smokology book for beginners.
