I am particularly impressed with this rice cooker. A large number of of the testimonials for other brands were not extremely encouraging. I believed that Black and Decker has in no way let me down, so I gave it a shot. I measure specifically as directed on the directions and the rice comes out ideal. I even substitute broth for the water and add my personal blends of spices based on my cravings that certain evening. The cleanup is fantastic. I am going to purchase 1 for my daughter and grandson this Christmas. We have employed this cooker about 12 instances now and the outcomes are constant. Please note the smaller size of this unit if you cook pretty substantial amounts of rice at one time. I have now owned this cooker for 7 months and am nevertheless amazed at how nicely it functions. It remains so straightforward to clean up even immediately after employing it about 2-3 instances per week. It has continually produced great rice. And, that is even when I add lots of various items for a variety of rice dishes.

Good size for two folks....superb cooker for the cost... January 4, 2010

I purchased this rice cooker for my husband for Christmas. We never ever had a rice cooker so we did not know what to count on and for the price tag (and the other testimonials) I thought I'd give this a single a attempt. If there was any confusion about how significantly rice it would make, one particular look at it would be a big clue....but I knew it would be fine for the two of us. I've created 2 'measures' of raw rice and it was way as well substantially for each of us ~ even though it is developed for three cups (measures) I doubt we would ever make that much.We adore the smaller size and have cooked brown rice, jasmine and basmati perfectly so far. We learned that if the warmer is left on as well extended it will get a little browned on the bottom so we just unplug it and let it steam. I would give it five stars, then again it does 'spew' as an individual else wrote earlier and I've learned to place a paper towel below it to catch any mess. I do not know if that is considering that it's such a small size or if that's popular with rice cookers in general. Then again, the unit is incredibly straightforward to clean. I read that some cookers have a hinged, non-removable lid and I knew I did not want that. For the price tag, this cooker is effortless, efficient, takes up pretty small
